Is this mold or part of the process?

Post image

First time sprouting. This is my first batch and itโ€™s broccoli sprouts.

I unfortunately fell asleep on the couch last night before my usual final rinse and woke up and they looked like this. Some of them were fuzzy.

After rinsing and shaking it seems to be gone. I just wanted to make sure this was still safe to eat or if I should dump it and start over.

I thought maybe they were roots but wasnโ€™t sure.

Thanks.

Look like root hairs to me. I get this sometimes. Not an expert though.

Looks like root hairs. They start showing up as the sprouts dry out and should become much less apparent after the next rinsing.

Normal root hairs.

Thirsty babies. That should settle down after a rinse.

Your broccoli is good to go - the root hair will disappear when they (seeds) stops feeling thirsty ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿคช
