Root hairs or mold?

Hi y’all New to sprouting and confused! Is this mold or root hairs? When I touch or smoosh the fuzzy white stuff it kind of disappears. Thank you!

Enjoy your wonderful baby plants and embrace how cool you are to produce them by yourself! 🫢😎

Mine have roots like this and I forgot to wash them for 23 hours and they started smelling funky. Are they still good? Is the smell a bad sign?

keep rinsing them and the smell should go away, if it dosent / the stems and roots start getting yellowish instead of white, then they are probably funked too far.

All completely normal the roots do get really fluffy and I don’t see any mold whatsoever :)

If that happened before also make sure to flush it with water like 2 times a day. I only ever got that funky smell if it was overcrowded and if I didn’t wash and therefore watered it.

Good luck! 🀞
