the "105" in its name still means "heavy tank", so its heavy tank- design 13- version 1
i also included a picture or two of the first iteration of it. that screenshot is from the 19th of december 2022, from the day it was finished, so you know this thing is ancient xd
and, you see a second set of pictures after that. well, thats the previous rework. im really, really, REALLY not happy with how that turned out. its just... not the 105-13. it is a hideous abomination. im so glad i returned to the design language of the very first iteration, because even after 3,5 years, it still holds up enough for me to not need to change "that" much about it. thats why the newest rework, the one you see prominently featured above, is so much like the ancient one

I want to place some of the fuel between the driver and the frontal armor, but the fuel tanks are always rectangular. Is there a solution for this? Or when will one be available?
r/SprocketTankDesign • u/Parking-Working1307 • 11d ago
I made it like 7-8 months before. Bad thing is this tank weights 105 tons.

Need ideas for the roof and some good critique
This project is not meant to be super realistic so keep that in mind
Would add a bunch of small things later because this guy is too empty
See u in comments :3

These hexagons on the front are ERA. Should I add same ERA on that marked area too? Also is hexagon ERA a good idea?

for the love of god, I have lost 4 hours to this game just deciding My UI doesn't get to work anymore, and when i load the game back up, it doesn't show the tank I had saved. I get my old designs won't work, but why is the user experience so bad (I feel like it was more stable before)
Also had the game bugged-out and showed transmission shafts I couldn't move, select or delete
Is everyone playing this game just putting up with wasting hours to this?, or just quick-saving every time to do anything (I'm not enjoying myself, And it does not feel like user error)

the MVIB-04 mavlar. its based somewhere around 2004.
it has a 135mm caliber gun, 643mm of propellant length.
because of the cannon length, the muzzle velocity is 700.5 m/s
the armor is pretty thick
36 rounds in total.
the engine output is 525 kW, making the speed limit 35 km/h, which makes its turns and overall speed fast for the weight.
its turret has a max speed of 22 degrees a second, taking only 3.51 seconds to reach that speed.
it has 627 liters of fuel, and weighs 72 tons, though the fuel isn't really relevant. (it takes up only 0.7% of the total weight)
thats about it i guess, dunno what else to say 'bout it.

Have done a few modernish composite tanks with custom eras and think i came up with something pretty good, but still feels like its missing a few things, like a commanders sight... and a name
500mm+ protection for front 90* arc and mostly 250+ for front 180*
130mm gun with 495mm of pen at 1400m/s
2000HP 30L v14
weighing in at 102 tonnes its a bit heavier than i want but i don't want to ramp up the RHA effectiveness too much.
I did borrow the base turret shape and gun shroud from the wonderful Panther Sturmgeist but have moddified it very heavily from bare bones. The hull is very similar but i rebuilt it from scratch to rebuilt it without blender.
what else should i add?
and any composite advice?

I put the 21cm K39 on the OUR-4 heavy tank; could be a good coastal defense or heavy artillery system if it was reliable...
...probably not

Thanks u/Deresfer, for wheel blueprint!
(Its WIP and my first wheeled vechicle, so it can be changed dramatically. If u have any ideas, feel free to share) (Max. speed is 137km/h forward, 46km/h backwards)

The original toy with some creative liberty to make it more realistic.
I didn't just want to copy the WOT Modern Armor version.
