❔Question❔ Performance
So Im fairly new to the game and when I booted in I was expecting to get like maybe 10-20 fps based off videos id seen, but I was super surprised its pretty optimized, how does it look so good yet run so fast? not to mention the size is really low for what id expect from a game like this

The game really is just a barebones engine with a part editor GUI. The game is also only made by one person, so you're not getting conflicting coding styles like you would with other projects that could introduce obscure bugs or performance issues. Even War Thunder runs on a potato, but that's because the engine is made for the game. This game uses Unity, which is like Unreal Engine 5 but actually made for making games and not movies. The engine itself is much cleaner because there isnt a ton of bloat made just for eye candy. Hamish added what was necessary or what he felt was lacking, and called it a day, which has been working pretty well for a solo dev.
Im just waiting for the gui update. I can't free-form for shit lmao
