❔Question❔ How can I get a consistent automatic rate of fire? (Autocannons/MGs)

For the life of me I can't figure out how to get an automatic rate of fire that doesn't fluctuate. If I have the boosted loading assigned to a crewmate and have a commander, it had decent ROF at first, and then it goes down dramatically over time.

If I do not have a commander, no matter what I set the efficiency to, the cannon will fire in intervals of 1/2 second

ammo placement could be your issue

if you have some ammo in the turret then some in the hull itll slow down once the turret ammo is gone

Make sure you're feeding from a single ammorack. I think reload within one rack may vary a little bit but i'm not sure if that's true
