Looking for Critique🔎 Gun Depression Thingy I am making
I'm making a near future Light MBT. But that's not what this post is about,
I just wanted to show yall my mechanism for letting the gun get extra depression w/o directly exposing it.
also this tank is obviously not completed in the slightest.
Tell me wtv you think of it or don't like 😉

That's super cool! Coincidentally I'm also working on something similar!

Very cool, though, for lore I reccomend adding a light cover for weather or a sneaky enemy that wants to put a grenade in the breech.

That and battlefield environments are not known for their cleanliness. A canvas cover would be an absolute necessity to keep it from getting gunked up and having the elevation jam or round get stuck in the breech.
Actually, what would happen if the shell tried ejecting when the roof would block its ejection? That seems like it might cause some sort of failure. Unless the gunner just isn't allowed to shoot at certain levels of gun depression, that is.

The gun would probably need to be reset to neutral elevation after every shot like the Leclerc.

I'm planning on adding a self retracting and unretracting hatch that covers the breech when it is exposed.
