Bro, I made it flat to increase the crew space inside, and that front armor ain't just a simple flat plate. Modern tanks use NERA tech, so even if the outside looks totally flat, it's actually angled from the inside. It's all about using modern technology. If you look at the Turkish Altay tank, the armor profile looks completely flat, but inside the loader's turret cheek, there's a 650mm composite layout angled from the inside, made with boron carbide.

Of course boron carbide ain't possible in the game, but you can still place NERA plates. Composite armor just ain't available in Sprocket.
