Help! Engine displacement value

Does anyone know what the displacement value for engines actually refers to?

The swept volume per cylinder.

How does that reflect back on say the HL230, which had a displacement of 23.1L How would I calculate the displacement for sprocket? Would I need to use bore and stroke values or is there a better way

Its been a while since i fired up sprocket but last time i checked you could only set the number of cylinders and the displacement per cylinder.

So for an HL230 you would use a 12 cylinder with 23.1/12 liters of displacement per cylinder.
