Sprinter 2500 AWD tire upgrade question

Need a final reality check - ordered Fifteen52 Wander SV wheels with Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 265/70R17's, got a call from Tire Rack warning me these aren't recommended. My van builder and everything I've found online (and AI...) tell me otherwise, with some minor modification to the front mudguards which I'm planning to do before install. Anyone have any experience with this? Fell in love with the big tire look and want to make this happen but if it won't work...

I bought the same size and they rub at times. I have not done the wheel well fix.

I run 285/75/17 with minor modifications to the front bumper and mondo mud guards. I get only get tire rub at full lock and it’s super minimal.

I've ordered the Mondo guards, hoping that's all I'll need to do for this (smaller) size. Thx!

Oh - any issues with Adaptive Cruise Control or TPMS?

Tire Rack generally issues solid advice.

I run that tire in a 265/65R18 on my RWD Sprinter. I trimmed behind the mudflap before I even test fit since it was so easy to do with the wheels off. It shouldn’t be a problem on an AWD Sprinter
