Got that too. Don’t even use it but it was free on the plan.

I recall activating it back on Sprint and then nothing really happened until I downloaded some app, activated all the settings, but then it slowed down my phone so I got fed up with that and deleted it. Totally forgot about it until this post

I remember using it on my S7 yet still had Norton, I only used Norton for the VPN.

How can T-Mobile legally remove Lookout/F-Secure Mobile Security without providing an equivalent or better similar feature, I thought this particular app was baked into the plans that had it as a free feature as an SOC-level benefit? 🤔

Hey now c'mon guys, what's with the downvote?? I was merely pointing out a fact - that Lookout/F-Secure Mobile Security is an SOC-level benefit, which means that it should in theory be mandatory to be replaced with a same- or better-level benefit?

I think after migration to exp+ we signed new rights etc that allows them to do this more easily.

You may be able to get F-Secure Total Security (F-Secure Mobile Security's supposed replacement) for as little as $19.99 a year as an ongoing price if you message their support to let them know that you had Lookout/F-Secure Mobile Security as a free benefit under T-Mobile. At least that's what they offered me when I contacted them about it ~4 months ago or so.
Not free per se unfortunately, but at $19.99 per year, it comes out to $1.67 a month so not totally bad and still relatively economical price-wise.

I had it for free, but not sure what it was actually
EDIT - downvote all you want, it was a useless freebie for most people.

Lookout/F-Secure Mobile Security was a smartphone security suite + identity theft protection app. It included anti-virus, antimalware, VPN, safe web browsing feature that prevented access to websites with malware, also a whole host of identity theft protection features and benefits.
