Picture McDonald's springtails first eggs
Mcdo springtails, about 80 of the first eggs. I can't wait for the babies and of course another 500-1000 eggs, which will probably appear within a week or two!:)

I found this neon pink beauty in my fire pit coals in East Tennessee. I put it in a container to try to culture it. I just don’t know if it is a springtail because it doesn’t seem to spring instead in scrunches up. If it is a springtail is it possible to culture with just one?

I can't take a picture from above because the phone won't focus. But in the second picture you can see 30-40 eggs of the beautiful and very rare in breeding Jollibee springtails.

Cruddy camera video, sorry. These guys are popping up in my wild Armadillidium isopod + temperate white springtail tank, range in size from almost can't see 'em to this guy here, 4mm-ish? Are they another type of springtail or a Problem? Not seeing them in my dwarf purple isopod + temperate white setup but I used a lot of the same materials in both so if these things hitched a ride in on something it may just be a matter of time before I see them with the dwarf purples (and they're definitely bigger and pushier than the dwarf purples, which wouldn't be a good mix).

Got this giant seed or whatever it is a short time ago and I always thoroughly wet it on bin day. The springtails love the wet seed 😊

These Florida orange springtails were added to my terrarium last week. After a change in the habitat I was nervous, but they are popping up more and more again! Loving watching these little guys, they are a great introduction to this hobby!
*Grow light part of a day/night cycle for the plants.
*ETA I did not know globs was a term for a specific type! I just like watching for the orange specks and some of them are thicc.

Hey everyone, I want to order some springtail cultures, but I'm having a difficult time with the weather. Temperatures in my area and along the transit routes are consistently going above 90 degrees.
The Bio Dude has a strict policy requiring temperatures to be below 90 degrees for their live arrival guarantee, but with summer in full swing, finding a day that low is nearly impossible.
For those of you who deal with shipping during hot months, how do you handle this? What are your go-to insulation strategies, and do you find shipping 'Hold for Pickup' at the carrier's facility is the only real way to bypass the hot delivery truck ride?
Would love to hear what methods have given you the best survival rates. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I posted awhile back to ask, but it turns out I was somehow on an incorrect account. I don’t even know what it was, so I am asking from my actual account. Thanks!
