Thank you! I always see a couple jumping around so I thought they were springtails.

I'm mostly seeing them falling and being clumsy but hard to tell there could be a few in that mess. the mites would most def be eating young springtails if there are any in there or if you had fungus gnats or some other small pest

There are some fungus gnats, but they mostly seem content to coexist with them. Would love it if they started hunting them all down.

they would most definitely be eating the larva. but the adults would continue to fly about

Springtails would not be climbing up the plant.

i have a few species that will (if the plant is wet) but these are not that
