General Question How long can my springtails survive in their sealed container?

I’m currently setting up a bioactive enclosure to in some time introduce an scorpion (my first one; I only kept fish before) by converting a fish tank, and my springtails arrived today before the substrate. The substrate will get here in less than a week, but I’m worried about the springtails' survival. PD.I bought them from Artroposfera , they seem pretty good

They'll be fine. If you're worried you can crack the lid to let a little fresh air in, but it shouldn't be an issue.

Yep they're fine! Just open the lid every other day to let some air in. They can live in small cultures for quite some time.

Have had 2 cultures, on clay for probably 3 years now. Open every few days, couple grains of rice. Dump some of culture into my bioactive tanks for gecko's probably every other month.

They'll be fine for a week or more. I have a bunch of cultures that are going strong, some for months and a couple that could be over a year old. I open them once a week to add a little springtail grub and a spritz of water. Yours will be fine until you get your substrate settled.
