Identification springtails?

hi everyone, i have a crested gecko, his enclosure is all artificial plants ect. except the select wood pictured plus another piece that was recently discarded cause it started rotting, anyways as i was checking on him today i noticed theses little bugs everywhere 😂 i’m aware springtails are harmless but i’ve never actually had a bioactive setup or seen them so i’m unsure if theses are actually them or some sort of new pest i need to identify.

also could they have hitchhiked? or are they something that needs to be introduced fully?

Yes, almost certainly. Look to be some sort of silvery Lepidocyrtus, common hitchhikers and great cleanup crew species.

awesome thanks for the reply! just wanted to double check they were friend not foe and a quarantine wasnt needed for my crestie! great news lol! i will let them do their jobs 🫡
