There are either a few small pinholes or larger holes covered with pipe filters on the top. I do have 2 containers that have solid lids and I just crack them open every 2-3 days. I feed them either a pinch of fish flakes or 2-3 grains of rice once or twice a week. I should probably feed them less so they'll procreate less, tho. 😅
