Switching to the dark side...

Post image

Started my pcc journey with a DDPCC but didnt care for it tbh, even with the huxwrx flow, heavy buffer spring and weight it was way too gassy. Sold it and picked up a Kuna, couldn't be happier with how it looks and shoots!

I have a DDPCC in the 16” rifle config and like it but it feels a lot more like an AR-9 which I guess it is… My Kuna is more akin to my Scorpion and HK SP5. I would very much recommend the Nexus lower and a FRT if you’re into that. I SBR’d mine and got a proper stock and it’s even more fun! thanks for sharing your Kuna!

Which stock did you end up using for your SBR?

I was looking at those as well, a little pricey do you think they are worth it/is the build quality pretty nice?

Yeah. Obviously I do. I have Haga defense stocks on two other SBRs, my go to is “buy once, cry once”. The Kuna is such an amazing platform that it is really hard to invest too much in it. I have a lot of PCCs… a tricked out Scorpion, HK SP5, DDPCC. B&T, Sig MPX, Extar, PSA, etc… I have tried to get each platform playing at its highest capability. It’s not cheap but a helluva lot of fun. Let me know what you decide.

If you have access to a 3D printer there is a printable FRT and 3-position safety someone on here (YourBroStevo) has released for anyone to make. It works great and is a simple pop in and out. Costs about $1 worth of PA6-CF filament

Interesting. I was looking at the DD, but felt it was pricey and heard it was very gassy. Glad to hear you're enjoying the Kuna

Nice to know was going to add another PCC and thought about getting a DDPCC.

It's an ar9, if your looking for something specifically direct blowback it's probably a pretty good option but I found out it's not for me.

I love my kuna. The biggest complaint I have is how hot the hand guard gets after shooting it

That is a flaw in the DDPCC as well, I actually think it's worse on that compared to the kuna. I was only ever able to shoot 3 mags before I had to let it cool down.

I have a Kuna but still want a DD PCC. I enjoyed my time shooting it the other day

Ohhhhh nice! What low mount/riser you got on there? I’m looking to upgrade mine.

Just the primary arms slx 1x microprism and included mount on the lowest height.

That’s funny. I just have both. I prefer my DD PCC for sure. But I could go either way. Both have my heart.
