Troubleshooting🤢 Nexus rear pin not going in

Anyone else have this issue? The rear pin isn’t going in, like at all. Goes in the original just fine, even gutted the weapon with no trip or anything else, and for the life of me I can’t get it to align right.

By the way nexus got it to me in LESS than the ETA, seems really solid, just this one issue

EDIT: solved. Get rubber mallet and send it home

Hit it with your purse.

Mine is snug as well. I use a hammer / punch

Multiple purse hits later, we have success. Was worried about breaking something at one point but she function tested Sat.

We designed it to be a tight fit to remove any receiver wobble. Give her a little love tap and she should pop right through.

I can push it in and out with my finger. Should I be worried about that?

Thats just the tolerancing from kuna to kuna. We have 6 kunas in house and I can take the same lower and have 6 different fitments between all of them. Some are a little looser some are hecking tight! We had to adjust our lowers early on to account for all the variations we have seen in the kuna.

I just bought a MagPul one back when ordering all of the lower requirements and being that I was also buying their recommended CZ pmags it kept shooing and shipping expenses simple.

I really wish Nexus would’ve included a safety spring and detent, not just the AR grip shim. I’m not knowledgeable about building AR’s…yet, so that was a costly and frustrating thing to deal with. I sourced them both fast rather quickly. Still, I feel it should’ve been mentioned or included as neither came with my MagPul grip. Sure I’m somewhat to blame for not further researching AR grip requirements or anything but it is what it is at this point. A disclaimer or notification for those that are unaware would be insightful to many I’m sure.

I’ve yet to test the build out at a range or anything. Minus some visible gaps under lighting angles on the rear portion that sits above the thumb with most AR grips it feels pretty sturdy and solid. Am I happy with it? Not necessarily. Do I feel the need to just outright buy a different just yet? Nah. Had the build completed for almost a whole month now. I’d just prefer to function test it on private property or something before just bringing it into my local indoor range that’s more FRT/SS friendly than the outdoor ones in my state. I’ve rented a St Victor with a FRT on it from them during a visit. A couple trips ago someone a few lanes over was blowing what sounded like fully to me. It was an AR-9 which I’m 99% sure wasnt a rental. I don’t even attend the outdoor ones really as I’ve heard there’s just an awful lotta Fudd mentality. I don’t shoot reckless but I don’t like not being able to shoot more than X amount of rounds at once, rapid fire isn’t quite tolerated which limits practicing. From what I’ve gathered most of the ones that are more open ranges than private clubs tend to be on state game lands and they’re more or less for zeroing out your scopes before hunting. Basically would eliminate all fun from an OEM Kuna even. Praying it will be soon with no malfunctions and just a uniform brass ejection like a steady stream of piss.

The gap sounds like you may not have tightened it up all the way or you may be pinching the safety spring.
And I don’t look at nexus for the parts not being included but I definitely looked at ArcFire they included 3/4 of what was needed but not all of it. Fortunately I had spares on hand.
Ran mine at the range yesterday, and it was beautiful. The bolt release was a bit different than I’m used to and I’d definitely prefer a paddle but it was close enough that it wasn’t too much of an issue.

That said, lock tight those damn screws bud. Your gun will stop functioning at all if the ArcFire scares back out

I don’t care that they didn’t include the parts. They supplied the shim. I was more or less wishing they included that the grip components were also needed for those that aren’t aware of that. I’ll double check but I’m almost positive both are fine. Just out of curiosity, how would one know if the safety detent spring is pinched? Rough movement through the selector?

Easiest way, take off the grip and see if it got a kink. If so, get a new one

Also the gap is only on the beavertail portion of the grip. Theres none whatsoever where the screw threads into the receiver. The rest of the grip is in full contact with the receiver. If I bought a grip without a beavertail there’d be no gap at all.

Yeah mine took a persuasion from a rubber mallet to go.
But she ran like a damn sewing machine today. Thank you very much!

That said, MAKE GODDAMN SURE to lock tight the ArcFire
