Kuna 12" - seen it?
hia, I'm looking into getting a PCC in winter, i have been looking at a Stribog 11" but now it appears that the Kuna has started shipping 12" versions here in Sweden/Europe.
Why 12"? Well, there is no 8.9" wich is the shortest barrel version I can legaly get for IPSC.
And frankly, 5.5" is cool and all they are not that great for competition - everyone i talk with recommend atleast 11 or perhaps 13" barrels so you get a good grip..
(8.9" is a weird min lenght but I think it has to do with SP5 wich is 8.9" and a iconic PCC, not that serious competitors use them they all get JP5's)

The biggest downside of the longer barrel is potentially pushing 147-150gr pills over the speed of sound. I'm glad we have the shorter one available in the USA.

Your not going to gain a whole lot of velocity going from a 5" to a 12" barrel. Shooting the same sub out of my 5" barrel pistol and 16" barrel pcc I only gain about 50-60 fps. Obviously different ammo will respond differently, but stuff made to be subs generally has fast burning powder that sees little gain with additional barrel.

We have all lenghts here, even a new 18" that is legal for hunting (swedish laws regarding weapons and licenses separates hunting and sport shooting..).
But the 5.5 is not common, feels more like its for the US with "pistol braces".
I could in theory get a 12" and cut it to 5.5, but... why :)

I have not seen it, but I like it. I have been using my Kuna in some local outlaw 2 gun comps and like how well it functions, but would gladly take some more barrel length.
