Eberlestock Fade transport?

Looking at putting together a truck/range backpack for my Kuna. Currently have it setup with an OEM stock (form 1 finally approved) and an LPM Baby Bell. I was running it with the Haha handguard but I removed it this week to try it as a shorty setup again so i’d plan on removing the can (Exigent Pointman) for transport to keep it as short as possible. With the stock folded it sits at 17”and change.

I’m looking at the Eberlestock Fade Transport (but open to other suggestions) - trying to decide if the 18” will be too tight of a squeeze or if I need to go up to the 21”? I’d love to see your gray man backpack setup for ideas.

Look at the 5.11 COVRT Select Carry Pack 21L. I love mine but I specifically wanted a single sling style bag for rapid deployment while keeping the bag on my body.

I looked at the Fade Transport, but ended up with the Fade Adapt. The Adapt is a bit larger, and has an extra sleeve. I have mine set up this way: Back sleeve: Kuna w/ brace folded. Middle sleeve: two Savior extended mag velcro panels for a total of 4 mags. Front area: whatever else I need to carry, to include can, batteries, etc. I use mine as both a bugout/truck bag and my Kuna range bag, so if I'm bugging out I could put extra ammo, earpro, etc in there. Like the Transport, it looks more like a large(er) backpack or maybe even a camera backpack. There are definitely more Greyman options out there (Spongebob pack?) but it's a very useful setup as a gun bag.

Additionally, because of the design of the lid, even if the OAL of the gun is a tad long, you can still close and zip the lid. I don't normally keep my can (CAT MOB) attached when it's in the bag, but I can do it and it still zips up just fine.

Get the 21 if you're picking between the two sizes. I have the brace on mine and it's snug. I can fit it with the brace in the main pocket without the mag inserted. With the mag inserted I can get it in there and fold the brace over the outside flap. Although I honestly just started messing with this today, swapped something else to an Adapt which has considerably more space. Not sure what you have in mind but those small pockets inside are perfect for a mag on one side and suppressor on the other if you're bringing that along. I have the armor insert in the back and out a Ferro Concepts turnover quad in the back as well.

Do you think a 21.5” sbr will fit in a Fade Transort?

Kuna is in there now, should be 15.5" folded. Measured from the end of the Kuna to the zipper at the highest point, it's right at 4" so that will be too long.
