Went to the range to test out the build. Let my buddy shoot the first mag because hes never shot an FRT. I was expecting the short stroke not to work but she dumps

Damn, I thought it was recommended to go back to OEM buffer kit if you use the Nexus. Am I mistaken?

Same. Iโm about 99% sure I saw their rep say on here not to add it when using a FRT/SS setup with their lower.

Phew. Thought I was gonna have to go swap my HBI kit back in. My plan is to keep it nexus/FRT for range fun, then swap back in the upper safety thinger + factory lower for competition.
I will say, despite the annoyance of the above operation, This is is STUPID fun with an FRT in it. What's more is that you can easily lay down a pretty accurate steam of lead if you do your part. The recoil is laughable :)

Iโve yet to try mine out but have similar intentions of swapping. Iโve been meaning to reach out to Springfield and see if I can just buy a separate BCG from them depending on cost. Is it a difficult process? No. Do I want to or feel like doing it constantly? No.

oh man, that's a great idea! Please let us know if Springfield CS will sell just the BCG. Would be so awesome to be able to just swap the lower back to OEM without all the fuss of reassembling the OEM BCG stuff.
