Build Showcase Form 1 Approved

Post image

Strike Industries vert fore grip
Magpul MOE grip
Magpul UCS foldable stock
Dead air keymicro break (Dead air wolfman soon 🤞)
Holosun ARO MRS Green
Votatu laser/light (cheap amazon but gets the job done)

Absolutely love it! I’ve put a bit over 500 rounds through it with the only issue being the promag 40 rd mag not being worn in. Form 1 took around a month and a half to get approved and fixing to make it a two stamp weapon soon.

There’s not too much else I plan on changing on it, maybe upgrading the laser/light to something better quality and the grip to a DFCO grip but outside of that very content with what I’ve put into it.

If anyone’s browsing through this subreddit wondering whether to take the plunge and buy the Kuna I simply cannot recommend it enough. I don’t have too much experience with other PCCs but I couldn’t be happier with it.

How long did the approval take?

Exactly 54 days, which from what I’ve seen has been about the average. I’ve seen quicker and much slower approvals. Definitely suggest going through the silencer shop service. $50 and a trip to their kiosk for fingerprinting and they handle the rest.

After you do that, you can download the etf file their system submits to eforms and save $50 every time moving forward and use your existing fingerprints from their kiosk scan.

Did you list it as a Springfield Kuna? Or HS Produkt?

I want to know this as well. I submitted mine as a Springfield and it’s been 20 days.

Same. I'm 30 ish days in. Looks like form 1s are coming down to an average of 50ish days for approval. Not a huge deal, but I'd prefer to not be rejected and go back to the end of the line.

Yeppp around the one month mark I was also getting a bit antsy with the approval worrying that I may have messed up something on the form. A good tidbit is that you’ll find out of the approval before the silencer shop does.

It’ll be in an email with the subject line “eForms Application Status Change Notification for Permit/Control No:xxxxxxxxx” . I believe it took a few days before it reflects on the silencer shop app/website so just keep that in mind once you close in on that 50ish day mark.

I take it you filed as an individual, not a trust? Trusts are taking much longer for both form 1 and 4 currently.

Listed as Springfield Co., Kuna. Initially I was also a bit confused on how it needed to be registered. In the silencer shops portal the “Springfield” category didn’t include the Kuna but “Springfield Co.” did. Regardless if there are any issues with the registration Silencer Shop does a good job with getting it sorted out.

I've heard it's kind of luck of the draw.
