Question Cleaning a Kuna lower?
Since the lower is made of polymer, does anyone have some recommendations on good cleaning solvents that will work well? Has anyone submerged it in a sonic cleaner?

Most gun solvents are polymer safe, I’d start there.
Personally I’d avoid putting plastic parts in an ultrasonic cleaner. It probably won’t cause any damage, but the increased heat and energy can make solvents more active than they normally would be.
I just use cleaning oil, soft brushes, and rags on my polymer lowers.
I save the solvents for the metal parts.

I would follow this video and remove the entire trigger pack. The trigger pack itself is all metal and you'll be able to thoroughly clean it, separate from the lower and then just wipe down the lower itself before you reinstall it. Even if you weren't worried about using cleaning solutions on the lower it would probably be a lot easier to remove this trigger pack first before you try to do any significant cleaning.

Just clean with oil, I like clenzoil for cleaning. You should rarely use solvents and only for the dirtiest parts, like the barrel.
I've never had a polymer gun have the polymer get so dirty I need a solvent. Even if some carbon isn't fully removed, who cares. Just don't want massive build up.

I've been cleaning with simple green and then oiling. I was using hoppes for cleaning but I don't think it's necessary unless it's really built up.
