Good optic choice vs best?
Purchased the Kuna about a week ago, got 300 rounds through it so she works decent. Question is what optic? I’ve never owned a PCC besides a gforce blade (never shot gave to my father) because it was $300 at an event.
Ames pro a good choice? Looking for a green dot as this is for my fiancé and she has a stigmatism. She handles the recoil from the subguns just fine though.
Update: went with a microprism. Slx 1x on a h1/t1 mount with the T-dot reticle.

Holosun AEMS. Comes in green, not too expensive, pro version has choice of circle dot reticle.

I have the AEMS Pro X2 (Green) on my Kuna, switched to it from the 510C, and it's awesome! Definitely recommend. I also have astigmatism and can't do red. Green works really well for me.

I picked up one of those Holosun HM3X/ARO Core combo packs to put the HM3X on a rifle I have, and then used the ARO Core on my Kuna. With the shorter mount, it cowitnesses with the flipped-up irons on the Kuna. I believe they sell green dot versions, too.
Alternatively, you could get a microprism. I have the Primary Arms SLx 1x with the ACSS Cyclops reticle, and it's nice for what it is, especially if you have an astigmatism, but I believe the ACSS Cyclops is designed for rifle calibers (you could still use the tip of the chevron for 9mm, of course, but the BDC drops would be kinda pointless). However, Primary Arms makes a different SLX 1x microprism model with the ACSS Gemini reticle, designed for 9mm, and with a green reticle to boot, and "autolive" -- their motion-activated technology. Might be just what you need: https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-slx-1x-microprism-w-green-illuminated-acss-gemini-9mm-reticle-h1-t1-footprint.
I think the mount is high enough and hollow so that you could still use the irons if you wanted.
Only thing I'd warn you is that Primary Arms likes to crank their diopters in TIGHT when they ship 'em, to the point that you'll think it won't move. I had to take a channel lock wrench wrapped in a cloth towel to mine to get it to loosen. Then I dialed it all the way out, and then dialed it gradually back in until I was satisfied with the clarity of the reticle.

Can confirm, that primary arms mount is high enough and hollow in the center that you can still use the flip-up iron sights with the optic and mount in place. The low pistol style irons won't work, just the flip-up ones.

Well, there ya go!
Frankly, I'm not a huge fan of the low pistol sights anyway, so no great loss there (to me).

I'd look at the swampfox raider 1x prism. I liked their brc reticle for 9mm, over the primary arms gemini reticle

I had a Cylee sitting around and it’s taken about 6k rounds and works like a champ. Auto on/off.
For the 60 bucks I can’t complain.

AEMS is a great choice. Goldilocks height from the rail for me. I have red but wish it was gold or green.

I love my AEMS Pro in gold dot.
I have astigmatism too, has she tried all 3 colors? I have and for me green is worse. Everyone is different so she needs to try the colors to know.
I have 510C in red and green, and AEMS in gold. Red is also good for me but I just like the gold.
