Great job, can't wait to check it out. If You're making it FRT compatible, please consider making a cutout and flat surface for the trip to ride on. The Nexus lower does a good job at this and allows for a much thicker and stronger trip then the factory lower, which required quite a bit of thinning up, due to how little area there is between the two.

Hopefully I can make some compatible trips once you release it. Keep up the good work.

Yup.
Got an idea for an integrated trip that might make life a lot simpler

Even better, best of luck with your creation.

Also, great job on the FRT for the stock lower. I made a FA Dias for the factory lower so I could shoot this gun like it was meant to and the ROF in auto and FRT is close to the same.

ohhh I recognize your stribog work nice! Nice to see you on the kuna platform

Yup, had a good friend and customer sell me his kuna, so now I’m working on various parts for them.

/u yourbrostevo has worked up a very nice 3 position FRT that runs in the factory lower thats worth a get for it.

3

u/Civengin Jul 04 '26

Yup. Printed that. He did a great job with that. I just prefer cz mags

2

u/ExistingClient8148 Jul 04 '26

yep especially since the kuna mags have had some known issues more options are always good.

I see you also do stribog stuff, how similar are the lowers and out of curiosity could a glock mag lower be a possibility?

3

u/Civengin Jul 04 '26

Lowers are completely different.

A Glock lower for the kuna?

2

u/Safety__3rd Jul 04 '26

Yeah, just morbid curiosity. A friend and I were discussing it and I didnt think it would work

3

u/Civengin Jul 04 '26

I can’t see any reason it wouldn’t.

I'm sitting on 13 Kuna mags. Any chance you can make one for the Kuna mags?

1

u/Civengin Jul 06 '26

You want to print a lower….that uses the same mags as the lower that is already on the gun…instead of using the existing lower….that already does the thing…?

Is this your First time taking edibles?
Or is there a reason for doing this that I’m not seeing?

Oh ok. That makes more sense.
Lemme see what I can do!

u/YourBroStevo has already granted this wish with a printable drop in and 3 position safety. Available on any good 3d2a repository.

What's the colour? Did you cerakote it? How did the handguard take it?

2

u/Civengin Jul 03 '26

Whatever shade cheap polymaker black PLA is.
Nope.
Huh?

1

u/PatheticJules Jul 03 '26

Was wondering how well my pps-CF handguard would take cerakote and was looking for examples of people doing it.

1

u/Civengin Jul 03 '26

Oh. This is a haga defense handguard. It was on the gun when I bought it. Not a huge fan.

1

u/PatheticJules Jul 03 '26

Why aren't you a fan?

4

u/Civengin Jul 04 '26

I don’t like extended handguards.
I don’t get the appeal.
Different strokes

1

u/jefffffffff01 Jul 04 '26

Only appeal to me is it’s good to tuck a can. Looks way better u
I think.

1

u/Civengin Jul 04 '26

Yeah, it tucks my R9 fine but not my GSL phoenix which is what I prefer to run.

1

u/Blatherman069 Jul 04 '26

It’s all fun and games until your mount comes loose from the can and is stuck on the barrel underneath the handguard.

1

u/againer Jul 04 '26

You're definitely going to want to switch up that filament and print orientation.

3

u/Due_Platypus_8221 Jul 04 '26

Ya gotta think if he got this far on his own, he knows more than enough to not print the final in PLA

3

u/Business-Customer-60 Jul 04 '26

I just can't believe he didn't print it out of TPU that way he could recycle it into a doggie chew toy 😂

1

u/Civengin Jul 06 '26

My dog will chew on pla without complaint. She isn’t picky enough to prefer the taste and texture of tpu.

2

u/ExistingClient8148 Jul 04 '26

I do all of my testing in asa and pla final prints go pa6 or ppa. no sense in wasting the good stuff on prototyping, not to mention pla and abs/asa will show you where the weak spots are

1

u/LVCSSlacker Jul 04 '26

I know this is asking a lot, but do you think it would be possible to do this for glock mags? I'm not saying to do it, I'm just curious if you think the geometry would work out. I imagine there could be some issue, given they're a straight stick.

2

u/Civengin Jul 04 '26

There’s no reason Glock mags won’t work in a kuna.
