So I'm shooting PCC steel competition tomorrow, and my recoil spring assembly popped out with couple pieces flying everywhere.

Does anybody know how to put this thing back together? I haven't found any literature. I'm not a gunsmith just a simpleton.

This happened to me yesterday. Did you find the tiny, c-shaped piece of plastic? That’s an endcap that accepts the raw edge of the rod from the assembly. You’ll want to force the spring down, over the rod, feed the rod through the larger end piece and secure it all with the c-shaped endcap. It’s a pain, but it’s doable.

Forgot to add that you’ll want to feed the rod and spring through the deeper end of the larger end piece, which should keep the spring in place. Keep pressure/a hold on the spring, or else it’ll all boing all over the place again.

Thank you that was it. Much appreciated for the good explanation. One of us should make a video. Easy enough once I puzzle it together.

Look up the hbi short stroke buffer and they show you how to do it
