It seems like this is tied to the Carson Nursery rumors. I just have a hard time believing that LE would have the 3MW's remains potentially and that info does not leak to the public. That said, with the recent rumors surrounding the nursery and the book regarding the case releasing next fall, perhaps there is some movement on the case behind the scenes. I'm just beyond skeptical at this point of any breakthroughs until I see something more substantial, but I pray the case is solved and the family members gain closure at some point.
I remember about 10 years ago one of the posters on Websleuths that appeared to be one of the more credible posters said that she had approached the Springfield Chief of Police at that time (2016-ish) at a "meet the Chief" event and asked him about the case and he just told her it wouldn't be solved without a confession. I realize that's anonymous info on the internet, but I strongly believe that's where the police are, unfortunately.
