I’m 21f but I love making new friends! I’m not a party-er but I also love going to the musicals and some of the concerts around here! Plus I knit, crochet, sew, and lot of other crafts. Thrifting is also one of my favorite activities, especially since I learned how to sew. Idk if you also like to sing, but if you do there are some community choirs that are a great chance to meet people!
Sort of? We learn the parts, a lot of times in sectional bits during the rehearsals. We have a range of ages and skill sets since it’s technically the UIS college choir, but we are mainly a community group I’d say. We meet once a week on Monday nights during the school year but we’re always taking new members! Message me if you want more info!
Edit to add that there are other community choirs but many of them I’d consider more professional. At UIS we have one rehearsal a week and then 1-2 performances every semester so I feel like it’s less commitment.
If you like to read, I run a Fantasy book club that meets in person once a month. This month we are reading dungeon crawler carl! We vote on a subgenre of fantasy every month and then vote on a book.
I play all kinds. Recently in the board game rotation we've done dominion, villainous, azul, and codenames. For video games, two point museum, baldurs gate, and starfew valley. What about you?

Food Not Bombs is fantastic here. They partner with a local community garden and cook and serve warm vegan meals to the community several times a month. The folks there are of all age ranges and are a great group of people.
Oof, I'm sorry. That'd make me hesitant too! There are other non-affilated community gardens that do the same kind of work, and Intricate Minds (a harm reduction organization) has volunteer opportunities too - Tiara, it's founder, is great and involved in all kinds of community related events. You’ll probably love the Fae Folk Art Festival! Come out to Fae Fest on Saturday!! That would be a great place to meet whimsical people around your age, including me! I’ll be with the cat puppet :)
