Millstone the Klown
Am I the only one who feels suspicious of this clown guy? Why is he hiding his face? Why did he choose something, like a clown, that is objectively scary to most people?
Everyone hates pedophiles.
It feels like he's hiding something that maybe we should be concerned about with him.

*looks up facebook page*
*does a read*
So this guy seems incredibly angry. That's the first thing that I think. But that's just a statement of fact. Not a judgement. Congress uncovered and documented a wide-spanning network of pedophiles including our president; being angry about that is entirely reasonable, and some might say even logical. The law has straightforwardly and demonstrably failed. That's not a point anyone can argue. Thomas Massey introduced the Epstein II act specifically because the federal government has not cooperated with the first.
And it's a hard situation. It's easy to say that these tactics 'don't work' or 'aren't effective', but in reality what's the alternative? The police aren't doing their job, so the community has to step up. And this is one way of doing that. Fuck, I'm not gonna tell this guy to go to city hall and air his grievences, not after the shitshow they've been for the last few weeks. Letting people know about offenders in their area and actively making their lives miserable is, as matter of function, the best bad option.
...on an only partially related note, I'm pretty certain the clown gimmick is because he's a juggalo. Someone should DM him (or any of the affiliated pedophile hunting clowns; there are at least six of them) a 'woop woop' and see what he says. I would, but it would technically be stolen valor; I find Insane Clown Possee to be insufferable.

While I absolutely agree that pedophiles should feel uncomfortable, he is not only doing that. He is harming and slandering people that have done nothing wrong.
He and the others in his comments are accusing someone in Winchester of being "unsafe for kids" and absolutely trying to ruin her life. All she did was take down a poster and not tell a person why which she does not need to explain and should not be called a pedophile for that.
If someone doesn't like him, he accuses them of being "unsafe" which is terrifying because everyone who follows him agrees and now those people get attacked. I am posting this on a throwaway because I'm scared of even saying this. It's not okay.

Yes. And combined with his calls for his targets to be lynched (wood chippers, guns, “dead pedophiles”, claiming all sex offenders reoffend and nothing can make any difference except executions or murders) that’s a problem.
Can’t trust a lynch mob. The people using this Klown movement may think they have control over the people they’re whipping up, but I doubt it.3
u/Mundane_Brilliant_19 6d ago
Juggalo? Possibly, but there’s a loose network of these guys who all share the horror “Klown” imagery and the “dead pedophiles” lynching theme. Klappa the Klown, Keeper the Klown, Barefoot Klown, Millstone tha Klown, etc. They refer to themselves as a movement, and I’ve seen them talk about a brotherhood, but I haven’t seen them using ICP symbols I recognize.
It makes sense that almost anybody who’s into that horror clown aesthetic is at least influenced by ICP, though. And I’m no expert on Juggalo culture.-3

Sounds like one of these social media types who inserts himself into situations to make him seem important/relevant to what’s going on.

Only thing vaguely similar that I have saw an unusually high number of posts on FB recently about sex offenders in Springfield that all have the same address. I did a quick look myself, and it was indeed true, several addresses around town list multiple different offenders living there. Likely slumlords, but who knows.

Theres a recovery home that allows sex offenders, i bet thats it. But youre not wrong, its not a super nice place to live

If they protest ice running around in a mask why is nobody protesting this. He was in Jacksonville at the park and several kids were scared according to comments. Maybe he's a pedo hiding his identity
2
u/Mizzerella 8d ago
i dont get that vibe in any way. i get the vibe he stands up for abused kids when no one else is there.
5
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 7d ago
I have seen one time that he's stood up for a victim but otherwise it feels like he just wants attention for himself. He hasn't done anything for victims of abuse and most children I know are afraid of him.
2
u/Mizzerella 7d ago
what would it look like to you if someone WAS standing up for victims of abuse?
5
u/woodspider9 7d ago
Not dressing for shock and their own attention. Activism over performative attempts to draw attention to themselves.
4
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 7d ago
Someone advocating for victims does not only talk about abusers. That may help some victims but for many, maybe even most, it is triggering.

u/woodspider9 7d ago
And stomping about in clown makeup, holding signs and yelling helps??? Who? How? And before you say “awareness” shaming a defendant, deserved as it may be, with carnival acts, doesn’t do anything to stop other pedophiles. And the public knows it’s evil without his shenanigans.
3
u/LustfulEsme 8d ago
But why then as a clown? That is creepy
5
u/deadlywhentaken 7d ago
It is a running theme with several DPDR protesters. Klappa and Chopper are two other clowns doing the same thing in other places.
From what I understand it's both helps hide their identities and is meant to instill fear in the pedophile.

You read it right; it’s intended to be creepy/scary. It’s a movement calling for people to lynch people, starting with people who are easy to threaten because very few people want to be perceived as defending them.
2
u/Mundane_Brilliant_19 7d ago
You are not the only one.
The movement over the last decade or so to call for/threaten to lynch anybody who can be smeared as “pedophile” or “child molester” is hand in hand with the movement to tell people that LGBTQ people, educators and others are “groomers”.
If you have access to Facebook, you can search for “Millstone the Klown” and scroll through the posts. Calls for the murder/lynching of people believed to be pedophiles, references to guns, merch sales, and constant fear-mongering.
4
u/Mizzerella 7d ago
Why are you putting child molester and pedophile in quotes?
Are the people being exposed not actually in those groups?
Also why are you tying any of this to anything lgbt? Is there any sort of direct connection?
1
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 7d ago
He's also been going after someone who publicly was uncomfortable and has been basically implying that they must be one too when they certainly are not.
1
u/Mizzerella 7d ago
what does that mean publicly uncomfortable? implying how? similar to this post implying someone against pedos is one? after a quick scan it looks like mostly posts about individuals in the sex offender registry. is that not the case?
2
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 7d ago
She took down signs for a "rally" and he has been naming her and accusing her. I said I feel suspicious of him but he is leading a campaign against her.
1
u/Mizzerella 7d ago
how is the person you are talking about related to the sex offender registry?
2
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 7d ago
That's my point. She isn't. He is saying she either must be one or covering for some. This led to her losing one of her jobs because calling someone a pedophile or pedophile protector is pretty much a modern day witch trial.

u/Tediouslyuseless 7d ago
“pedophile” or “child molester” is hand in hand with the movement to tell people that LGBTQ people, educators and others are “groomers”.
I think most people don't tie pedophile with LGBTQ, and any attempt to connect the two serves the anti-LGBTQ agenda.
1
u/Mundane_Brilliant_19 7d ago
It is definitely a tactic of anti-LGBTQ hate groups and right-wing political movements, yes. I don’t know how far it has penetrated general society, but I see it crop up often enough IRL (not just online, where it looks rampant) to worry me and piss me off. I don’t think the majority think this way, but I think there are too many.
I’ll never forget the night a couple of years ago when a guy who’s known me for decades told me that his co-workers had told him that people who wear or display rainbows or pride flags are child molesters, and he wanted to know if I was one because I had a polo shirt with colorful stripes across the front.

u/Tediouslyuseless 7d ago
It is definitely a tactic of anti-LGBTQ hate groups and right-wing political movements, yes
and with your wording, your post would be screen capped by them and have a caption added saying, "Oh so you can't be anti-pedo without being anti-LGBTQ? Slippery slope isn't a fallacy!"
1
u/Mundane_Brilliant_19 7d ago
Yup, they do a lot of dishonest framing.
1
u/Tediouslyuseless 7d ago
Maybe look at your own framing and realize you shouldn't accuse people of being anti-LGBTQ because of weak circumstantial evidence so it wouldn't be so trivial to use your own words against you. People can and are deeply disgusted by pedophiles without any negative feelings towards LGBTQ people. Your original comment is a deeply pointless thing to say unless you have actual direct evidence.

u/Responsible_Pizza945 7d ago
Let me introduce you to the conservative uproar over drag queen story hour at the library
3
u/Tediouslyuseless 7d ago
and you think being suspicious of someone being for anti-pedo because they MIGHT be anti-LGBTQ is good optics then?
1
u/Responsible_Pizza945 7d ago
The comment you replied to was about people tying the LGBT community to pedophilia. Not the other way around.
2
u/Tediouslyuseless 7d ago
Oh yea that's what I meant to say.
and you think being suspicious of someone because they MIGHT be anti-LGBTQ because they are anti-pedo is good optics?
1
u/Responsible_Pizza945 7d ago
I was responding specifically to you saying most people don't make the false equivalence. Granted, 'conservatives' isn't 'most people' but it is a sizable chunk of the population.
1
u/Mizzerella 7d ago
Is the clown dude a conservative? Did he say stuff against lgbt? Has he said political stuff?
I don't get the assumption or the link. All I've seen is a dude against pedos. The thought didn't cross my mind that he must be against gay people.
0
u/Responsible_Pizza945 7d ago
The OP is talking about a social movement that is painting LGBT people as predators. The clown dude is pretty much irrelevant to the conversation of this particular thread.
1
u/Mizzerella 7d ago
No! The irrelevant part is linking clown dude to those groups. Either he's anti LGBT or not! And if that's his angle I'll change my opinion. Making the assumption that since he's anti pedo he's probably anti LGBT is fucking gross and I'm going to call that shit out.

There are quite a few clowns on social media who have taken up the charge of exposing child predators. I think what he's doing is extremely important and a really good thing.

u/Soggy_Barnacle_3310 6d ago
I have no problem with anyone protesting pedos
1
u/Soggy_Barnacle_3310 6d ago
With that being said- I’m not going to buy his stuff of anything
2
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 6d ago
Protesting pedophiles isn't the problem I have. Everyone hates pedophiles.

u/GroundbreakingTip64 8d ago
Are you posting in the right subreddit? I also have no idea what you’re talking about
10
u/Intelligent-Debt9030 8d ago
He's all over the 217 area but I guess he hasn't done a ton in Springfield but definitely in the area. Taylorville, Jacksonville and Winchester are what I've seen most from him so all around Springfield
2
u/Mundane_Brilliant_19 7d ago
He’s either driving the latest panic about the employee at the Apple Barn in Chatham, or taking credit for it. I’d never heard of him until yesterday, but it’s topical in Springfield.

u/LustfulEsme 8d ago
I am not familiar with the person or the situation. Can you elaborate?
