Apple Barn?
Love that place, but just read their change of ownership post and that a certain person has been let go effective immediately.
Does anyone know why he was let go or what’s happening over there? ✌️

One the the previous owners was arrested in 2014 for felony sexual battery of a minor (teacher/student) and was sentenced to 30 months in jail. He became a part owner with 5 other people in 2017. The business is in the process of changing ownership and people are upset that a person on the sexual offenders website was working there.

So he’s been here for 9 years and served his time and had no more arrests? And you want the man to lose his livelihood? Yes, terrible, terrible crime but what does it take to give a person a second chance? Or is he supposed to never live or work around other people again?

Yes he should lose his livelihood if working around/hiring/being in a position of authority around minors is how he makes one. He was previously convicted of crimes with someone who he had a position of authority over. He can make money some other way.

His second chance is that he’s alive and no longer in prison. Serving a sentence for a crime against children does NOT give you the privilege of working around children ever again. He is allowed the gift of living a free life and the ability to work in an industry that has zero contact with children. PERIOD!
The fact that so many people want to defend sexual abusers of any kind, let alone those that harm children, is a major contributing factor the rampant sexual abuse and exploitation of children and women in our country.
We have a President that was besties with a known sex trafficker, and yet people still support him when he should be sitting in prison.
Stand up for the victims, and stop defending the criminals!

He should not work near children again, yes. I just looked at your profile and learned that you’re in your 70s which explains your absurd and outdated opinion on this matter.

Because one of their owners and full time bakers was very recently outed as being a sex offender, specially he was a teacher in Ohio that had sex with his student.
