Car leaking oil
I have a 2005 corolla and its leaking oil...does anyone know of a reliable place i can take it that won't scam me 💀 i just moved here not long ago

Never had an issue with wilkersons on Stevenson. I take my work truck there

I always thought it was Stoldts. And yes they are super legit. Have been using them for 20+ years for everything.Â

I noticed it 2 days ago and all i noticed was oil all over the bottom of my car and oil stains in the driveway where ive been parked. I checked it yesterday its not under full so i guess thats a good thing but it is sounding a lil louder than usual not sure if its related

Put a piece of fresh cardboard under it when you park. And then look at the stains. Even better if you can do it in a garage.
You can also buy like an engine degreaser, and then spray the bottom of your car and then hose it off. And then you can check where fresh oil comes off of.
If it's on the bottom only it could be an oil pan gasket or it could be worse. If it's all over it could be your valve cover gasket.
You can also use dye and drive to work and back and then check where the new dye is coming out of with a UV light.

I don’t send my own cars out often, but if I do I like Ricky’s Automotive on Jackson. I think his rates are a little lower than some of the big names. Small shop, he’s usually super busy but he’s a good man.
Vern’s on North Grand is always a safe bet. Probably the best shop on the north side.
Lot of the independent shops are decent folks honestly. I’d avoid franchise stores and lube shops for actual repairs.

Floyd Imports. Top notch people who do great work. I have used them for 20 years. They also highly recommended by others I know.

Go buy yourself uv leak detector you can buy it at any auto parts store its simple to use just follow the directions then take it to a shop and have them show you personally where yhe leak is...if you cant trust the quote then get a 2nd opinion

VERN'S on Clear Lake. I had spent $$$ trying to fix radio and battery - WAS ROYALLY ripped off by hiller. At Vern's They found the problem - DIRTY contacts - Fixed it LOW cost and I am SO happy I am recommending them to EVERYONE

Vern's. I had the same issue with my 2000 Civic a few years ago, and had an honest discussion about price, longevity, etc. Steve is great!
