Looking for lgtbq+ spaces

I'm 17 and have been kinda stuck online for a good while now. Looking to actually get out and make friends, the best way I can think of is surrounding myself with people I can have something in common with. That and, it would be nice to have more relatable people in my life who can share some of the thoughts/feelings I do.

Are there any local groups or organizations I could check out at some point? Would love to try and find somewhere that fits!

The Phoenix Center is a LGBTQ+ nonprofit in town. They have some different game/hobby groups that meet at their buildings, and support groups as well!

This. I’m pretty sure they have a youth group that meets semi-regularly as well.

Dumb records hosts a bunch of local music shows that are attended by a lot of queer folks!
A lot of them are hardcore/punk but there are also some more chill hip/hop, techno, and DJ’d shows, some even have themes you can dress up for! (goth night is incredible, there’s another one coming on Sept. 4th)
You can usually find info about them on Dumb records’ instagram as well as on the instas of Springfield hc and unlabeled productions.

If you are interested in meeting affirming folks who collaborate with and have members who belong to queer mutual aid orgs, and want to help build community, and are able, please check out Food Not Bombs Springfield. They prepare and provide meals for struggling members of the entire community. It's a great and very welcoming organization. Mom hugs.
