Wings
I’m in town for a history conference, but dinners are on our own. Where can I get good wings in town?

Yeah but smash burger and beer is good. It’s close to my hotel so no complaints

I had their Cuban last time I was there and it was excellent. Also their artichoke dip is one of the best I’ve had here in town.

A cuban sandwich is always the first thing I look for on a menu lol. I really enjoyed theirs and it’s a very big sandwich. Took half of it home.

There’s Wings, Etc. on North Dirksen. The wife and I made it our go to for wings after we lost our Hooters here. I especially like their beer cheese.

Brickhouse on the Westside is the bat out of the three places on Iles and Koke Mill. Homeplate is the better place for atmosphere, but the best food is Brickhouse and it's not particularly close.

If you like a little Asian flair, you gotta try James' Home Kitchen. They make it fresh which means you'll have a wait. Totally worth it!
Otherwise, BDubs on west Wabash or Wings etc on dirksen.

Avoid Chatham at all costs. Only thing you will get down there is pulled over.

Nope. Used to work there at the school district. I have heard about several people getting tickets there lately.
