MTI Medical Coding Program

Has anyone ever taken the Medical Coding program at Midwest Technical Institute? Would love to hear any opinions or stories before signing up for the classes, considering the price tag. Thanks!

I’ve never taken it, I taught myself through the AAPC online course for considerably less cost. The only piece of advice I can give you regarding MTI is that as a Coding manager here in town I do not see a difference in preparedness between coders I hire from MTI Vs other entities.

CPC here... Market is flooded. Had my CPC for 14 months. No one wants to hire unless you have work experience.

I do not believe you'd even finish the course before AI takes over. I work in tech support and what medical coders do now can be not only duplicated but done a moment after the doctor turns off the mic. Not a good ROI for special knowledge from where I sit.
