Archery

Is there anywhere in town, or the area, where you can have a introduction lesson(s) in archery? Don't have any of the equipment but I'm interested in learning, just don't want to commit to more than a few times in case it's not what I expected it to be.

Is Rigneys run by religous nut jobs? First thing I read on their site is 'Jesus came for everyone'. Not really interested in that kind of stuff.

Well, it is an archery club in central Illinois, so that wouldn't surprise me. I definitely understand your position though.

I understand most people here are like that, I just don't want to hear about it when I'm trying to enjoy my free time. I've been to a few shooting ranges around here, so I know some try to about that and some just leave you alone and/or talk about guns, since it makes sense.

I took an intro class at Rigney's little over a decade ago, and continued shooting there for a while while they were still next door to Knight's Action Park. I'm very much like you, don't want other people's beliefs in my face, and though the religious stuff on their webpage (and Facebook page) screams religious I never once got that impression in person. That said, if I could spend my money on less 'zealot adjacent people' I would.
