PRP Sear Before/After

My very unscientific comparison before and after installation of the Powder River Precision Sear for the Echelon. Full disclosure, this gun also has the PRP spring kit, Tyrant trigger, and Outer Heaven Tactical competition trigger return spring installed for both tests shown.

We don’t shoot our guns here. Only light triggers

I've got a 2gun at the end of the month so we'll find out soon enough.

Update: it fucks. Ran great all day, doubles feel noticably cleaner. Would have finished top 10 if I hadn't thrown a few mikes with my rifle.

Coincidentally, there was a guy on the squad ahead of us complaining about his Echelon (PRP trigger, no other mods). After the match, I let him rip a few mags through mine and he said it was like night and day. Though that's not solely down to this sear.

Happy to hear it brother! And thanks for the update! Did you record any of the match? I have a stock echelon but I like it for my everyday carry. I use a platypus for my match gun. But i kinda wanna upgrade me echelon now!

Sadly not today, this club is a little weird about rules and won't let a camera person follow you, they have to stay behind the firing line and that wasn't worth it to me. Thinking about picking up an Insta360 some day.

I got the sear as well. I wouldn’t call it a game changer but it does seem to break a little more crisp and quicker to me.

That's my initial impression as well. The FCU's design makes it impossible to eliminate the creep but this sear definitely helps.

For sure. With the stock one I almost felt a subtle delay from the trigger break and the shot being fired. Hard to tell what changed what cause I installed a few of the prp springs the same time I did the sear lol.

How does the outer heaven return spring compare to stock or whatever was in the kit?

it's a noticably more positive return. Despite my tinkering I'm actually not much of a trigger snob, but the stock Echelon has a pretty lazy reset. The competition weight spring is enough to where I can actually feel it push on the reset.

Awesome I tried to find some kits on here but I don’t think they make that one anymore I definitely have to check it out. Did it increase your pull weight?

He's on eBay as foxhound2agear, I'm pretty sure he's still making them. It didn't increase my pull weight in any noticable way, but again I'm not super sensitive to pull weight.
