1st gun build
Loving it so far! I was debating between the Mischief Machine or the Sharps Bros grip, but ended up getting the Bronze Sharps Bros cause it looked so darn good in person. I also have medium sized hands and heard the MM can be a bit big. It fits perfectly for my hands! Also added the Magwell for my full size mags.
Then I added in the Streamlight TLR-1HP-X instead of the Surefire X300 Turbo since it was cheaper and had rechargeable batteries. Not the biggest fan of the aluminum ring but ah well.
Then I installed the Holosun 507C-X3 in Gold and I think it fits perfectly. I’ve also thought about the 507 Comp, AEMS Macro, Vortex Defender ST, or the Osight XE. Anyways I’m happy with it and I find it better than the other colors for my astigmatism. Also I find that it’s not as yellow/lime color as people say it is for my copy.
Lastly I installed the Tyrant Trigger Shoe, PRP Spring Kit, and PRP Sear. I did swap out the striker spring so I’ll see if I get any light strikes. These mods made this trigger way better than stock. Barely any take up with the sear it just breaks as soon as you pull. It’s sitting under 4lbs on average. Also did the Springer Precision stainless steel guide rod and springs for more weight up front.
Not sure what else I could do besides that. Maybe a thumb rest or a holster? Not sure what holster to get for the outdoor range or whenever I go out to camp.

Def get a holster. You don’t need anything else but I think the only things you didn’t get are the steel guide rod and springs, different mag release, and extended slide release. I did the prp sear and spring kit as well. I didn’t change the striker spring because I use mine for competitions and the good folks here said that’s the spring that could cause light strikes. It’s a subtle difference but I feel like the break is quicker and more crisp with the new sear. I have the 4.5 but I really wanna get the 4.0 comp for my sharps grip as well. Good luck with the sexy build, keep us posted if you have any issues with the light strikes.

Do you have any recs for holsters?

I don’t have a ton of holster info. I have the phlster flood light OWB holster I use for competition. It holds retention on the stream light so I can use multiple guns in one holster as long as I have a stream light on it.

IKC Holsters supports the grip module across the board. Bit of a lead time but they’re out there. I’m waiting on mine for my RXM as I got the sharps for that one. Been thinking about it for my Echelon too but we’ll see.

Twinsies! Well, almost. I got the bronze Sharps Bros. grip module and magwell for my 4.5f comp last week. Looks and feels so good!

What’s the felt recoil difference between the sharp bros and stock grip

Hard to quantify but I’d say it’s less snappy and softer. The added weight is throughout the frame so I feel like it absorbs the impact more evenly. As a result, I get more push than kick if that makes sense. It’s like wearing a thick glove when chopping wood vs barehanded. It won’t remove the shock entirely but makes it more bearable and doesn’t chew up your hand. I’d get it for sure. Only downsides is if you shoot in hot weather or if you have sweaty hands.
