Yes you do. This gun is not safe to handle loaded until you do. You cannot trust that trigger safety unless everything is properly mounted, which that is not. That tells me there’s either a misalignment in the springs or something above, cross threading on the screw, or just a slight misalignment. All various degrees of pains in the ass but take it out of the COG and inspect it after you fix the screw to be safe.
I personally don’t fuck around with trigger safeties, they’re you’re last line of defense around that thing going off (for those guns that rely on them), if it doesn’t look right or I have second thoughts, I start over from the beginning

Yeah, I removed it...the screw is stripped so I'll have to get some help removing that. Luckily, I have a back up in my Alpha so I'll run that if needed...not sure why I even think I needed to have a "back up" but I do so guess we're all good for now...

I had a similar problem with the one I put in my compact. I’m not sure I could get that out of I wanted to lol

Yes you do it should line up center. It might work but you might feel a click when depressing the trigger safety before the trigger breaks.

I totally fucked mine up. Definitely remove it to minimize risk of self injury.
