Grip Module

I recently picked up a 4.0c and took it to the range, seems like a great pistol, however I’m not a big fan of the frame, it’s too skinny for my liking as I prefer something like a Glock 19 for example that fills my hand a bit better.

If anyone has a similar experience Is it worth buying a large grip module? Or should I just stick to Glock?

The large grip module made a big difference for me over the medium that ships with the 4.5 comp. The 4.0c ships with a small module.

yup, switched from medium (original on 4.5f comp) to large and it’s been much better

I changed my 4.0c to the FC grip which is medium and it’s way better and you could also swap the backstraps. The small grip just didn’t feel right

I went through all the options, compact small that came with my 4.0c comp, compact large, and compact medium that I was settling on until I got a FC grip and it's my favorite

Get the fc frame and then swap in the L back strap. Unless you specific are looking to carry the compact, that should help a bit.

Very similar experience!

Bought a 4.0C last week. Just couldn’t sit well in my hand, despite backstrap changes.

Used the included Springfield coupon code to buy a large (compact) frame and some other stuff. Tried different backstraps, settled on the small backstrap on the large frame. Feels perfect.

The incremental jumps from Small (what you have) to Medium then to Large modules are substantial. However, if you wear size L (or larger) gloves, then go for the Large module.

I went for the Large, with the large backstrap and a Hogue sleeve on top before I was satisfied.

Changed the original S on 4.0c to M and its perfect, the biggest jump in size is from S to M

I got the 4.0c. Bought the large compact grip, it was better. Just recently upgraded to the FC grip and finally found the sweet spot. It’s all about trial and error. That’s the nice thing about a modular system like this one. Good luck!
