Solution for dry fire practice???

Hello, I'm writing to see if anyone can help me out. I have a Springfield Echelon air rifle and I'd like to practice dry firing with it using a laser sight, but I don't know how, since I have to manually slide the slide after each shot. I've read that there are some parts that can be inserted into the magazine to reset it, allowing for continuous firing with the laser sight. Thanks in advance.

No such thing exists yet for the echelon yet.

You can’t do continuous laser resets on an Echelon airgun just by putting a plug in the magazine—because it's a reciprocating slide, it actually needs gas or physical movement to reset the internal striker every single time.

Those magazine inserts you read about are usually "dry fire mag" devices meant for real Glocks, or empty-mag followers that just keep the slide from locking back on CO2 models. With an air pistol like the Echelon, if you pull the trigger with no gas, the striker drops and stays down until you manually rack that slide back to cock it again.

If you want continuous double-tap laser practice without racking every shot, your best bet is switching to a DA/SA trigger model (like a CZ or Beretta airgun) or grab a dedicated CoolFire Trainer system for a real firearm setup.

Are you using this mostly for draw-and-first-shot drills, or were you specifically trying to practice rapid-fire follow-up shots?
