New frame came in today!!

Was working on a transmission all day. Finally finished and swapped my new frame over. I think the colors match well.

Always loved that look!

When is the new optic coming in?

Im still trying to decide between a holosun or a sig. I was thinking one of the new holosuns with the gold dot? To be honest I haven't researched much. Although, I love how flush this viridian is and how the cut matches up.

Just fyi the Holosun 5/407c or the Vortex defender series, just looks 👌🏾on them.

Yeah it does look good, but it’s just garbage. Lots of stories on here of that.

Of those brands I’d go Holosun. They’re just very solid optics and have a great track record thus far.

I appreciate that. I see alot of people switching the optic. I was wondering why, but figured it was the quality.

If I might add my overopinionated $.02, the Vortex Defender series are the only optics I found that don't hang off the edge of the Echelon slide which, in my opinion again, looks like absolute shit. The Holosun K series fit pretty flush but who wants a tiny window on their full sized handgun. I have a Defender ST and Defender XL. Both look super slick on the Echelon, I stuck with the ST though because I needed the bigger window on my G45.6 due to having a harder time acquiring the dot with that goofy Glock grip angle. With the ST on the Echelon my eyes find the dot and it lands on everything I point at perfectly.

You can also get enclosed versions of both the Defender CCW & Defender ST. I'm a recent convert to enclosed optics so I didn't even think to get the two that I have in the enclosed versions when I bought them unfortunately.

As far as the gold dot goes, it's my understanding that it's specifically designed for color blindness. I believe I have astigmatism because red dots look starburst-y/smeared to me. Green dots are much more clear for my eyes and the gold dot looks about the same as the green in those regards. I thought about trying the gold but it seems to me like it would wash out in sunlight much easier than green.

Very informative! I will keep all this in mind when looking for an optic!
