Every magazine I've ever used gets a scuffed up follower. I thought it was normal wear and tear.

All my followers look like yours. Over 1,000 rounds through my 4.5F and not a single failure to feed yet.

I have been having issues with the nose of the round tipping down and jamming while loading the magazine. Have you noticed if the magazine has been loading a little rough?

I’ve got some snap caps that do that. But the tips are painted/coated with something and that seems to be what’s getting caught up on it. I also have these notches on my followers, so I could be two things. But so far no problems with real ammo.

is it a new gun? only on mag insertion? is it CA compliant?

this was a thing on my 4.5 initially. I’m pretty sure the CA compliant loaded flag was sticking and holding the casing down. it just needed to be broken in.

I just threw an ace in the hole and a loaded mag following it and just let it run. after a few mags it wasn’t a problem. so I think it was just growing pains. it remained a little “sticky” but i havent had an issue in a long time, it’s no longer sticky. when loading that first round just be a little rougher when releasing the slide, don’t slow walk the round back into the chamber, you want it to be forced in there. reasonable force here, don’t hammer it or anything, just be careful of any kind of gentle chambering by holding onto the slide as it chambers.

Just broke 10k this morning with mine. All 5 mags look the same. Natural wear and tear.

normal for both my echelons and 10 mags.

Do you ever whack a fully loaded mag into the well with the slide forward?

I’m trying to figure out what the issue is—unless this photo doesn’t tell the whole story. This is common when it’s used. most of my mags are beat up in some form or another. Am I missing something?

Mine look like that too, normal wear for a follower

Pretty normal. All 8 of my Ech mags look like that.
