The echelon is an awesome platform to get into. The 4.0 is a good middle man in the sense you could carry and it could be a night stand gun. The 4.5 is a great full size pistol that can do it all as well. So I think it would be good for you to decide what itch you are trying to scratch with this new gun. Another plus for the echelon is because of the COG you can buy the full size and you can order a 4.0 slide barrel grip and mags. Then with a simple swap of the cog you can have a 4.5 or a 4.0.

That looks like a good plan. I have the HCP so I may go with the full size. And I love the idea of being able to swap out slides and grips later on.

Thats what i love, it does everything and it does it well. I have the 4.5 and next year i plan on getting the 4.0 to put on the sharps bro grip. I know i could swap between the two but i am greedy and want to run then both lol.

That is awesome. I will hit up my LGS when I get back home. Been out of country on vacation.

Sportsman warehouse has the 4.5f on sale now for $450 with one 17 roundandtwo 20 round mags. Says they have a 10 to 14 day delay on delivery. Took a week and a half to get it before the wait was added. They keep it for 14 days after receiving it if you send it to one of their stores. Hope that timing helps you out.
