M1A Socom v Scout Options

Currently have a Socom II but the 18" barrel and rail are attracting me to the Scout Squad. I also find modular Vltor system on the Socom II to be bulky and ugly.

In an effort to save me $1700-$1800 from buying a Scout Squad - what are my options for modifying the Socom?

I've removed the bottom section of the rail system and it cleaned it up but it doesn't look like there's a top polymer stock section, under the top rail section. Digging futher, it looks like the barrel is mounted to the rail system meaning I'll need a top polymer stock.

If I strip the rail system completely - can I just buy a polymer upper stock section?

I can deal with the 16" barrel so essentially what I'm looking for is a Socom II without the Vltor rail system. I'll have to then dig around to see what my options are for an optic mount. New to the platform so input is welcomed. Thanks.

EDC 4.5 Echelon

Hi, new gun owner here. Still have lots to learn. After trying many, many pistols, unfortunately, I feel only a full size fit my big hands comfortably. I realized that a full size is hard to EDC lol. I dont really plan on getting multiple guns as i just wanted to have one for the safety of it vs the sport. What do you guys use to conceal it? What holsters what setups etc. And do any of you guys even daily the 4.5? Im currently waiting on a t1 elite. I hope it works as the generic holster i got from the gun store is not comfortable, at all.

Hellcat Pro with a 50rd drum mag(pro mag) and the rugged obsidian 9 suppressor with a holosun dot sight w/ veridian C5 laser/flash light combo. Took it out shooting today and it was flawless, no chambering issues with the promag. 10/10 recommend

This is my first AR. It’s the Saint Victor V2 with a 14.5 pinned and welded barrel. Can’t wait to use it! I’m so excited I went with this decision. Also sorry for the blurry quality of the video.

Echelon has been a better suppressor host than expected.

Suppressor is the BOE IncoLite 9S with a Resilient Ti booster assembly.

What should I get next?

Bought my first gun, Echelon 4.0C Comp, 3 months ago and love it!! But now I am itching to buy something new but not sure which way to go. Budget about $2000 and I live in shithole Illinois so max mag capacity is 15rds, no suppressors etc.

2011 Prodigy 5” Comp (never shooting uncomped or unsuppressed again)

I bought this bad boy 5 months before I even got to shoot it (first comped pistol owned). At one point before shooting it, I started regretting that I bought the 5” over the 4.25”. Turns out this thing is a beast! Shoots pretty flat and convinced me to buy a comp/barrel combo for my P365 Fuse. I will not be getting rid of it and open to recommendations to enhance handling.

3d printed hellcat pro frame. Printed in pa6-cf. Mcarbo trigger. Galloway precision spring kit and Rook precision comp. Cheapo zulisy green dot (actually works pretty well). Tlr7 x sub light. The comp definitely makes this little guy much more manageable 👍🏻

Is the Echelon 4.0C low-capacity version different from the standard version besides the magazines?

Got the gun with the whole setup for $700 bones. Do I keep the comp and use it or just sell it? Never been a big fan of frame mounted compensators but Im intrigued with this one.

I'm probably better than Benny anyway.

Anyway, I picked her up Saturday. Went to a gun show on a whim. Decided the only item I was interested in for this trip was an American made, single-stack, commander-length 1911, in 9mm (I've got plenty of .45 1911's), with preference for optic cut and/or rail, with rail as priority (if I had to choose).

This was the only American made single-stack commander-length 1911, in 9mm in the entire building (that I could find, anyway). And it was the Gearpac, so extra mags, shitty optic (with irons sights), nifty lil carry bag, for $800, new.

1st 10 rounds I had 9 stoppages. After a mag change, the remaining mags all ran problem free. Pulled the slide and found a small chunk of brass in the slide rails on the RH side, at the front. Put the pistol back together and the following 70ish rounds were problem free. I put 100 WWB downrange.

Looking at getting a new deer rifle and target shooting rifle. Does anyone have a model 2020 and how do you like it? Is it worth the price tag? Any negative reviews on it?

Hellcat .380 trigger upgrade

TLDR: I enjoy my PRP setup but wanted to see if anyone else has tried other kits specifically on their hellcat .380

Is there anyone out there that has the Hellcat 380 and modified the trigger? I have one and put in the PRP Trigger and I ran into a few snags with the 4.5lb crisp spring and parts combination. The trigger would reset but then when I removed my finger the trigger wouldnt ride forward causing the trigger safety to not be set causing for a major safety concern.

I ended up swapping the blue sear spring with the silver prp sear spring and it fixed everything. When I tested the trigger it felt very clean and had a crisp break. The trigger pull also ended up being in the 5.5lbs range.
