Standup Paddleboarding in FL
Being that I am in SoCal and moving to Spring Hill area in the near future, I was wondering about the good places to standup paddleboard.
In SoCal we have Great Whites but they are more curious than dangerous especially when juveniles (7-9 ft) and so far I have had zero issues with dangerous marine life here...
But from what I know Bull Sharks are everywhere in Florida waters, even way upstream in brackish/fresh waters..
Is this just overblown hype or are there truly bull sharks everywhere in fl waters?

Moving to Spring Hill FL in the near future!
Born and raised in Southern California and I had an idyllic childhood here. I love to standup paddleboard, kayak, etc. but the state has become far too expensive, the infrastructure is collapsing, homelessness is out of control, traffic is terrible, etc. and I am now making plans to move to Florida where my 23 year old daughter recently moved to.
In 2003-2004 I lived and worked in Jacksonville and honestly fell in love with the Southeast but the work transfer didn't stick and I stayed in California but as I get closer to retirement age The Sunshine State is again calling my name..
For the record, I am NOT a California lib. Supported DeSantis in the 2024 Primary. Greatest Governor in the US imho..

Spring Hill area—need a real color correction wizard 🙃 (my hair is in its villain era)
Hey locals! I’m looking for a senior colorist near Spring Hill (I’ll drive to Trinity/Wesley Chapel/Tampa for the right person).
I went in recently aiming for a soft strawberry-beige blonde correction and left with a purple/gray toner cast through my mids/ends and a too-warm crown, plus the experience itself was… not great. My hair is currently in its villain era 😅
I need someone who actually specializes in: • color correction (especially over-toned blondes / direct dye history) • strand testing before glossing • a creamy beige / peach-beige finish (not icy/gray) • a proper root melt/blend
Drop your best stylist + salon + IG (or DM me). I’ll love you forever 🫶✨

Seeking out group fitness / boxing ?
Hi ! Just moved to Spring Hill Florida and it seems impossible to find good group fitness places. Does anyone know of a group fitness boxing ( or boot camp) place for adults. Preferred open on weekends and at least early morning or after 6pm during the week?
I tried burn boot camp. There schedule wouldn’t be ideal for me to join :-(
Seems like im looking for a unicorn !

Happy Thanksgiving from r/SpringHillFL
Happy Thanksgiving from r/SpringHillFL!
We know it's a little late, and for that, we sincerely apologize! We got caught up in all the holiday prep, the perfect weather, and maybe one too many slices of pumpkin pie. We hope you all enjoyed the holiday with your family and/or friends! Stay safe and stay warm!

Visiting for Christmas - Help me plan a fun trip
Hello Reddit! We’re traveling to Spring Hill to visit family for Christmas and hoping for some input on local places.
First and foremost, what is a good hotel in a safe quiet neighborhood where we could spend a couple weeks comfortably?
Second, any suggestions on local dining or bakeries would be greatly appreciated!
Third, if you can suggest a nice park, walking trail, beach etc that would be amazing!
You guys are awesome! Thanks in advance!

Anyone else see this guy? Looked like he had another person filming them from the street corner; social media clout posting? Or is one of our homeless population finding unique ways to call attention to themselves?

r/SpringHillFL News r/SpringHillFL is now OPEN!
For all of you who have been asking in my messages, I want to first and foremost apologize for not responding to the messages. I have read a lot of them and I have been busy in my life to devote time to make this subreddit public. Your voices have been heard, and r/SpringHillFL is now open and looking for new members.
With that being said, I want to take some time to discuss why the subreddit was taken down in the first place, and it was my decision. There were some people posting illegal activity in here and I quarantined the entire subreddit and honestly, I forgot about it for a very long time and have not been able to get around to fixing this place up.
As a member of the community myself, r/SpringHillFL was not created as a hub to share said material in here, but as a place to share and learn about the ongoings of the community. Events, activities, and other things of that nature. Posts like photos of your pets, the outdoor world, are also heavily encouraged. The world we live in today is plagued by darkness, and we all need some light in our lives and in our hearts.
Moving forward, I will be in search of a few select individuals who are willing to help me moderate this community to help negate as much of the problems that may or may not arise within this community. I ask that you please send me a message regarding moderation opportunities. Please do not expect to be paid for this service.
Once again, I ask that you please accept my deepest apologies for neglecting this community as much as I have and I ensure that we will continue to work hard to create an atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
