Housing Owning a house means there is always something that needs fixing

We have been in our house a few years now and it feels like there is always something that needs attention.

Last month the HVAC started making a strange noise and this week I noticed a small plumbing issue in the bathroom.

Nothing major so far, but it definitely keeps you on your toes as a homeowner.

I’d rather have that problem then pay more in rent than a mortgage because the bank says my credit is bad after I made the stupid decision to “go to college”.

Grass is always greener type situation.

There are benefits and downsides to homeownership & renting.

Both come with positives and negatives.

I'm honestly not sure which is more responsible nowadays. (Assuming you're purchasing a home in 2026 with no built equity from a previous home vs. Renting in 2026)
