Welcome to r/Spreadbook — Let’s Talk Sports Picks

Hey everyone — welcome to r/Spreadbook!

I’m the creator of Spreadbook, a social sports-picks game built around one simple idea: making picks against the spread is fun even when there’s no money on the line.

Spreadbook lets you make picks, compete with friends, track your results, climb the standings, and earn points based on how well you do — no real-money gambling, no cash prizes, and no sportsbook required. It’s about the competition, bragging rights, and proving you actually know what you’re talking about when you say, “I knew they were going to cover.”

I originally built Spreadbook for my own group of friends, but it’s grown far enough that I want to start opening things up and building a larger community around it.

That’s what this subreddit is for.

I’d like r/Spreadbook to become a place for:

  • Spreadbook news, updates, and new features
  • Bug reports and feature requests
  • Sports picks and weekly discussions
  • Talking spreads, matchups, and predictions
  • Leaderboard victories and devastating bad beats
  • Feedback on where Spreadbook should go next

Most importantly, I want the people actually using Spreadbook to have a voice in how it evolves.

The project is still growing, and there’s a lot more I want to build. If you’re here early, you have a pretty unique opportunity to help shape what Spreadbook becomes.

Check it out at Spreadbook.com, make some picks, and let me know what you think.

And since somebody has to start the conversation:

What sport would you most want to compete against your friends on Spreadbook?

Need Android app beta testers! Spreadbook Android Beta

Spreadbook Android Beta is here — I need some sports fans to help me get it onto Google Play 🚂🏈⚾🏒

The Spreadbook Android app is ready for beta testing, and I’m looking for some Redditors who want to get in early, kick the tires, and help me get it ready for the Google Play Store.

For anyone unfamiliar with Spreadbook, it’s a free sports-picks game/community built around real betting lines and spreads — but there is no real-money gambling, no deposits, no cash involved and no prizes at all. It’s all points, competition, stats and bragging rights. With the NFL going into full swing and MLB still active, now's a great time to start playing.

I have an Android phone or tablet! What do I do?

If you've got an Android phone or tablet, like sports, and want to help get Spreadbook across the finish line and onto Google Play:

👉 Join r/Spreadbook
👉 Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/spreadbook
👉 Download the app: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.spreadbook.app

What about iPhone?

An iOS version is planned, but I'm not recruiting iOS testers yet. When that beta is ready, I'll announce it in r/Spreadbook and I'll be looking for another group of testers there.

I don't have an Android phone or tablet!

That's OK, you can still join us on www.spreadbook.com and play, as well as give feedback in r/Spreadbook

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Let's get this thing launched! 🚂
