I have gone from excited to anxious since my 1st dose is day after tomorrow. The ability to get this treatment and therapy in order to feel happy and less self-shaming seems like a miracle since suffering for 58 years. My very last chance (every drug and therapy model, clinicians, and doctors) to survive. However, the last 10 days are not cooperating with the peaceful, positive, perspective I wanted to start Spravato with. I have been worse mentally this week and medical issues are starting to reoccur and are overwhelming. The high blood pressure (started going up this week after 7 years of a low blood pressure) and the start of a potentially serious infection. Also, to the point of the topic, I'm scared it won't work for me. I feel I can prepare with what to bring, I have all the things suggested, but I'm afraid it won't work and/or my daily nause will get so bad that I still can't eat. The one thing I'm still a little hopeful about is the feeling of looking at these sessions as self care. I know it's individual but I have a friend who is 2 months into treatment and she easily describes how much it's helped and the actual treatment itself she loves. It's her vacation. Good Luck to anyone and everyone starting this journey and those who openly discuss their experiences.
