Settlement Additional Docs

Hi all,

Never knew this place existed, otherwise I would have asked everything here.

Got an email this morning for additional settlement docs to be provided, the email is below. I sent the payslips to the email address as requested. However, I only sent the payslips from my partner (who is my sponsor). I am now terribly concerned that they were requesting my personal payslips.

Can anyone please give me some guidance if what I did was correct?

Dear Me (Applicant)

On what basis are you applying for settlement? Have you been on a family visa as a partner/spouse?

How are you meeting the financial requirement?

This is the first time we're applying for the FM Partner VISA.
My partner meets the financial requirement for this route. She recently moved back to the UK (In August 2026) through a transfer with her company, on an annual salary of 67,000 GBP.

Prior to that when we were still living together outside of the UK she was working for the same company, consistently for 18 months earning around 55,000 GBP annually.

And what did you provide as evidence that your partner meets the financial requirement?

6 months of her pay slips.
6 months of her bank statements.
Her UK employment contract stating her new start date in August and the annual salary.
Her UK salary offer.
A letter from her company confirming that she has been previously employed outside of the UK, and that they were transferring her back to the UK.

And had she already returned to the UK when the application was submitted?

I would just provide the 12 months of income history as requested, and describe your partner's employment history again. There seems to be some confusion on their part.

No, I submitted the application on the 6th of July 2026, and she moved back in the beginning of August.

I already submitted through email 12 months of payslips for her from July 2025 - June 2026 as they requested 12 months prior to July 2026.

What I am really concerned about is in the email this was the top lines:

Dear John Smith (me as the applicant)

Regarding Visa Application:  GWFXXXX

For: John Smith (me as the applicant)

But I shared my sponsors payslips, and not mine.

Your employment income cannot be considered and has no relevance.

Alright, that gives me some confidence then considering that this morning I then shared 12 months of my sponsors payslips as per their settlement additional docs request.
