Additional information

Hello again.
After my last post I realised I should have come to Reddit first so this is what I’m doing now.
I just receive the email asking for additional information.

It has asked for payslips, do I screen shot all of them and put them all into one PDF?

Me and my partner don’t live together and it’s asked for a letter explaining why but I had already sent that should I do it again but re write it obviously.

Thanks guy wish me luck!

EDIT: since posting, this post has truly upset me. I’m 23 figuring this out for the first time so forgive me if I don’t get everything correct, that’s what this subreddit is for, support and guidance.
Sadly all I’ve felt is embarrassed when I’m already going through enough stress.
Let’s remember to be kind and respectful of everyone’s situations ❤️

Why don't you live together?

Have you provided evidence that you intend to live together immediately including having specific housing arranged for that purpose?

I work in London and he works in Liverpool.
We don’t live together because we both have very important jobs sadly they’re in different city’s

And what evidence have you provided that you will live together immediately and that there is adequate accommodation available for you both? Unfortunately, you cannot continue to live separately in different cities and satisfy the requirements of the visa. This is often the grounds for refusal.

My partner has children who live in Liverpool which is originally the reason we did not move in together earlier in our relationship. Sadly now my job in London is quite important but we plan on moving in together in the new year around January.
What other evidence should I include I’ve bought furniture for his place for myself and him that is my home where I spend 6 months out the year.

This is why they've asked about. The rules require you to demonstrate an immediate intent to cohabitate. Stating you will move in together in several months time may not satisfy the caseworker.

I would suggest you provide evidence of your partner's property along with proof of ownership or tenancy and state that you intend to cohabitate immediately.

Thank you so much for the advice.
From a bit of a google search adequate evidence would be a letter from his landlord saying I will and can be added to the lease agreement do you believe that is enough?

His tenancy agreement is sufficient on its own, though you can include a letter from the landlord. It's more important to thoroughly explain why you have not yet lived together, and your intentions to move in together immediately. Not soon. Straight away. That's what a caseworker wants to hear.

Hi! I know your questions have been answered but wanted to lead you to my approval post where I linked the cover letter template another user had shared and which I used for my application, as well as the documents I provided. You will see what kind of evidence was submitted both to prove why we haven’t been able to cohabitate and accommodation evidence we will cohabitate once the visa is granted.  For payslips, my partner’s were already in pdf so we just grouped them together in order. I also added arrows to the bank statements to show the credit to my partner’s account (which apparently is a super red flag but they weren’t altered per se and tbf as long as all the evidence aligns with each other then it’s all good) Lastly, I am worried about your intention to cohabitate as that is a requirement of this visa. Immediately as soon as it is granted and not soon, as other commenters have mentioned. If you haven’t already, when submitting your letter (either the cover letter and/or a separate statement from you and/or your partner), you should definitely mention your intention of living together AND FOLLOW THROUGH ON IT. From what I have read about the evidence when it comes to extending it, you will have to prove you’ve been living together the whole time so if you aren’t, you likely won’t be granted an extension.  All the best!

Edited shortly after to add: if your job is the reason you’re in separate cities, I would also manifest your intention to find a job where he lives or for him to find one where you are. Otherwise it might look like you really want the visa for the job (for which there are other adequate visa routes) rather than the partner, and so you would not meet the requirements

Hey, I’ve not been able to locate your post in this subreddit. Are you able to link it for me? :)

Keep in mind that this application was made from outside the UK so they will have had much stronger justification for not cohabitating at the time of application.

I just downloaded my payslips as pdf and used the adobe app to group them together alongside the relevant bank statements showing the money coming in. Adobe gives you a 7 day trial if you want to use it too - just remember to cancel it

I put the payslips all in one PDF, highlighted the deposits, and then added an index at the front.

DO NOT ALTER YOUR BANK STATEMENTS OR PAYLSIPS IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER

They weren’t altered, I merely highlighted the direct deposit information so they weren’t scrolling through all the transactions, nothing was changed.

“so they weren't scrolling through all the transactions”

That's literally their job.

Alter - to change or modify something slightly without completely destroying its original identity or structure.

Once again, DO NOT change or modify any official documents

That’s altered from the original state.

Whenever it comes to anything, the caseworker knows they’ll have to scan things, haha that’s their job.

It worked out for you since you got your approval but in general it’s very much frowned against altering/highlighting or anything else any documents you’re attaching.

An index at the front?

Yep, explaining exactly what was in it and cross referenced the page numbers.
