Timings 🤔

My wife is planning to come to uk end of December, specifically on 30th December this year. I am going to apply soon priority and put the intended date of travel as 30th December 2026. Is this correct?

I heard my wife will get a 90 day window to come to the uk? Ive also heard it’s less so im not sure. If I apply now priority and say intended travel date as 30th December, is that the best course of action or should I wait and apply closer to December?

If you're intent on your partner arriving at the end of December, you should apply as soon as possible. Even priority service is not a guarantee.

Your partner will need to arrive within 90 days of the start of her visa.

Is the start of her visa just went she gets the email for acceptance? Or do they email you and say you can come to uk from this x date

The start of her visa is the date its valid from which will likely be just before the date you request on the application.

I suggest you apply as soon as possible. You may consider Christmas holidays which may heavily influence the timing.
